My Anzac day Prayer (20/04/2020)

Karakia

Here i am holding up my prayer, it reads

Lord as i sit here and i think about the men who died,
for our country, who were so brave to travel so far away from their homes, their own comfortable space to serve in both ww1 & ww2 we bow our heads and pray, we will remember them.
They delt with quietness, darkness, damaged, cold memories of 1914 (Gallipoli) through trenches they rose upto defend, we bless there whanau (family) and all of the ones who lost loved ones, a simble of my apprecation and acknowledgement, as i two lost loved ones, my two great great grandpas who served in both wars we will remember them.
Amen

Here i drew a Poppy to symbolize (Peace)

  1. Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt prayer of thanks to those soldiers who served in the wars for our country Aotearoa. I liked how you added a video of the Last post. A special prayer for your whanau who died serving their country.

  2. Kia ora Benjamin,
Thank you for sharing this post about Anzac. I like your Poppy drawing and the including the words inside to show what it represents for you.
What will you and your whānau be doing on Anzac Day? We usually go to the Dawn Parade but that is not being held because of Lockdown.
